Isn't it annoying when you switch your humbucker to single coil mode and suddenly there is a lot of hum and the volume drop is like falling into a black hole and the sound is a mere facsimile of the one you want to hear?

How long have YOU waited for a humbucker that, when split, produces loud authentic Stratocaster* sound with Zero-Hum? 

Kinman aims for great sound with Zero-Hum and that's what we deliver.  We are very pleased to tell you that we have invented the solution and the design of our 2n1-n device is elegant, innovative and ingenious; so much so we have applied for a Patent.  Now you can enjoy authentic Stratocaster sound without annoying hum (regardless of the amount of gain) with any of our switchable humbuckers when they are ordered with the new 2n1-n option (all models except P90-Bucker and Twang-Bucker).

Why has it taken so long?  Because it’s not as easy as one might imagine.  Cancelling Hum in a split single coil of a Kinman humbucker and preserving the great tone presents some formidable magnetic, electrical and architectural challenges and it required a lot of brain power to devise the solutions.  Kinman was well positioned to meet these challenges because of our obsession and 40+ years experience inventing innovative hum cancelling solutions for a wide variety of single pole pickups, the most challenging being the P-90 Hx with it’s 206 component parts.  After all, Kinman has more high-value patents and proprietary know-how concerning hum cancelling than all the other pickup makers combined because Zero-Hum is all we do, no other pickup maker does it like Kinman. 

The brilliant, cunning design of the 2n1-n device meets all the challenges.  That’s why Kinman is the King of Noiseless – and the 2n1-n is our crowning glory.

Kinman humbuckers are specially built to mate with the 2n1-n device.  In theory the 2n1-n can be used with other brands too but in practice it is too expensive to modify an existing pickup.  Our Gen-2 humbuckers are supplied with our 2n1-n combined Push/Push control that splits the coils and the rotary part is a Tone control for the pickup.  Suitable for guitars which the same number of Tone controls as Gen-2 pickups you want to install, I.E. the existing Tone control is replaced by the combined Push/Push 2n1-n and Tone control.  Some guitars have only one Tone control so only one Gen-2 Humbcukers can be installed, the other can be a Gen-1 humbucker without coil splitting.

How to order.  When the 2n1-n becomes available choose one of our beyond-excellent Gen-2 splittable humbuckers and click the BUY button and enter the Ordering Channel to specify your pickup. 

Switching & Wiring. A SPDT switch is needed to select between Humbucker and Single coil with Zero-Hum.  One for each pickup is required.  The most convenient is our 2n1-n Push/Push control module, but a small toggle switch or Push/Pull pot can do the job too.  To make it easy for you please include with your order our optional Push/Push switch and combined Tone control module for additional US$30.  This will save you the task of wiring and makes a neat, tidy install (see picture above).

Goodbye-Soldering Harness.  Eliminate wiring and soldering completely by including either our Gibson type KHP-90 Goodbye Soldering Harness -or- Stratocaster type K5 harness both of which can incorporate the above switch.  For more info Navigate to >Products >Harness >Strat or Gibson type, but don't click the BUY button because it's better to include a harness when you order your pickup rather than order a harness separately from pickups.

Will it fit into your guitar? A Kinman humbucker with the 2n1-n device attached is just 4mm (1/8+ inch) taller than Gibson, Duncan and most other conventional Humbuckers so it fits into most all guitars with humbuckers.
